After taking a brief hiatus from her solo music career, Harry released the track as the first single from her fourth solo album Debravation in September 1993. The single brought her back the attention of US Dance Clubs and peaked at #2. However, the song was just moderately successful in the UK where it only managed to climb to #23, it became Harry's last solo UK top forty hit to date. The single also scraped the chart in Australia where it came in at a disappointing number ninety-six, it stayed on the chart for two weeks.
The song is a pop-dance track that was the first solo single of Harry's to be released in three years. The up-beat melody and optimistic tone helped the song to become a big hit in the dance circuits, but it didn't translate into mainstream success. This was despite Harry's efforts to promote the single with a handful of UK television performances and interviews upon its release.
Its minor commercial success contributed to Harry being dropped from her record contract later in 1993.
